Carmen A. Seda, age 79, a resident of Grafton and formerly of Lorain, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at home following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 20, 1939 in Caguas, Puerto Rico, moving to Ohio in 1953. Carmen was employed as a food packer at Stouffers Foods, Solon, for over twenty years. From 1996-2000, Carmen was a bartender at the Puerto Rican Home in Lorain. She enjoyed music, dancing, bingo, the Cleveland Indians, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Carmen was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain.
Survivors include her daughter Aileen Reyes of Woodland, California, daughter and son-in-law Evelyn and Ron Clinton Jr. of Massillon, daughter and son-in-law Jeannie and Gino Castillo of Woodland, California, son and daughter-in-law Gabriel and Rhonda Seda of Grafton, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, sisters Carmen B. Acevedo of Strongsville, Rosemary Mosny of Ossining, New Your, and her brother Luis "Chiqui" Aponte of Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Carmen was preceded in death by her son Miguel Angel Reyes, parents Luis and Regalada (nee Delgado) Aponte, brothers Jesus Rosa, Pedro L. Flores, Felix G. Flores, Manuel Flores, Pedro L. Aponte, Robert Aponte, and her sisters Gloria E. Aponte and Fausta Natal.
A memorial mass will be 9:30 a.m., Friday at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain, with Rev. William Thaden officiating.
