Amelia Blount, age 52 and a life resident of Lorain, passed away Saturday,
May 1, 2021 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a long illness.
Amelia was born November 29, 1968 in Lorain to the late Frank Rojas and
Patricia Padilla. She attended Southview High School and was a member of
the Class of 1986. For over 20 years, Amelia was employed at Burger King
throughout their various locations in Lorain.
In the past she managed the former "Peppe's Bar" in South Lorain. Amelia
liked to go to the Lorain County Metro Parks where she enjoyed the walking
trails and grilling with her family.
Survivors include her daughter Melissa Rivera (Jasmine Osorio) of Lorain,
her six sisters; Micaela Garcia (Ferdinand) of Lorain, Maria Perez of
Lorain, Rosa Beltran of Lorain, Teresa Mercado (Frank) of Lorain, Summer
Rojas of Georgia, Nikki Rojas of Lorain, her three brothers; Rolando Rojas
(Ruthie) of Youngstown, Pablo Rojas (Maria) of Lorain, Robert Millan
(Jasmine) of North Carolina, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Amelia was preceded in death by her husband
Michael Blount and brother Francisco Rojas.
Family will receive friends at the Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900
Broadway Avenue, Lorain on Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
