David T. Carder, 78 of Sheffield Township, passed away Tuesday, October 29,
2019, at Cleveland Clinic, Avon, after a long illness.

David was born July 18, 1941, in Booth, West Virginia, to the late Ezra and
Mamie (nee Tichenor).  He served in the United States Army from 1958-1961.
Throughout his life David was a service and repairman for appliance
companies.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and preaching the Word
of God.

David was a member of Cornerstone Methodist Church, Elyria, where he taught
Sunday School.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years Jane (nee Howell), their daughter

Dawn Carder (Larry Schrock) of Sheffield Township, a sister Sherry Stevens of Florida,

and his brothers Kenneth (Daisy) of Niles and Ed (Mercy) of Wakeman.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his daughter Dava
Lynn Carder (1992), his brother Sonny, and his sister Barbara Smith.

Family will receive friends 2-6 p.m., Sunday, at the Andras Crematory &
Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain.  The funeral service will take
place 11 a.m., Monday at the funeral home.  Burial with military rites will
be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
