Janice M. Nahorn (nee GOLINI) passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at the age of 93. Janice was the daughter of Salvatore and Jennie Golini (nee SULPIZIO). Having lived in Lorain all her life, Janice graduated from Lorain High School, and as a young woman had fond memories of working at Sutter’s Sandwich Shop and Middendorf’s Pharmacy. At 20 years of age, she married her high school sweetheart, Carl Nahorn, and together they raised four children.

At age 60, Janice began taking tap, square dancing, line dancing, and piano lessons. Her line dancing career spanned two decades and she loved performing with the Loco Yocos at the Lorain County Fair.
 

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, parents Salvatore and Jennie Golini, brothers Daniel and Rocky Golini.
 

She is survived by her children Sandie (Ted) Silver of Winterport, ME, Carole (Tom) DeCarlo of Lorain, OH, Bill (Diane) Nahorn of Amherst, OH, and Jenny (Toby) Ramirez of Readfield, ME, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

 

Janice did not wish to have a service but instead asked that her family celebrate the life that she lived. Janice's family would like to acknowledge gratitude and heartfelt thank you to Mercy New Life Hospice for the care they received and taking care of Janice.
