Kerry Scott Franklin

8-27-1964 12-15-2022

Kerry Franklin, age 58, a resident of Vermilion passed away unexpectedly at
Mercy Hospital surrounded by his family.

Kerry was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. After high school he served in
the Marine Corps. He was also an employee of the Plain Dealer for 20 years.
Kerry was such a BIG personality that if you ever met him he definitely made
an impression on your life. He was a loving grandfather. He enjoyed spending
time with his grandson, taking them hiking and to the zoo. Kerry was an avid
Cleveland sports fan. He especially liked spending time with his best
friend, Jeremy, watching the games. He could get very passionate about that.
He had an immense love for cooking and definitely his grill. He will be
deeply mourned, fondly remembered and never forgotten.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years Karin Franklin, his son
Richard(Danyell) Franklin and his 2 grandchildren Wilson and Ethan. He is
also survived by his siblings James(Nancy) Franklin, Glenn(Michelle)
Franklin, Joy(Rich) Bruner, Kyle(Kathy) Franklin, Robin Franklin,
Tracy(Sheryl) Franklin, Kim(Patrick) Furlong, Lorne(Jennifer) Franklin and
many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Kerry is preceded in death by his Parents James and Teresa(MacLellan)
Franklin, and his brothers Dean and Leslie Franklin.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday December 30th, 2022 at the
Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain from 4 until 6

He loved his cats and all animals for that matter, so in lieu of flowers the
family is asking for donations to be made in Kerry's name to the Lorain
County Friendship APL, 8303 Murray Ridge, Elyria OH 44035.
