OBITUARY
LEO LAKES BUTCHER

Leo Lakes Butcher, born June 26, 1954 to Leo Lakes Butcher, Sr. and
Elsie Helenbelle Butcher nee Erler. He was the 4th child born of 8, the
first son.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Leo was born and raised in Lorain and moved to Pennsylvania in
1974 where he resided for 40 years and raised his family. He
returned to Ohio when he retired. He attended Vincent Elementary
School and subsequently Clearview High School, continuing his
education earning an Associate’s Degree in Accounting.
He worked most of his life as a machine operator until he became
disabled.
Leo is survived by his one son, Leo III, daughters Mabel Mae, Diana
Marie, Brenda Lee, Amanda Rose, Elsie Helen Bell, 13
grandchildren, two younger brothers Clarence (Bud) Butcher
(Kristine) of Vermilion and John Butcher of New Jersey, two sisters,
Ethel (Dolly) Justice of Lorain, Cindy Moore (Richard) of Missouri
and many nieces and nephews.
Leo was an active member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church
and had accepted Jesus as his savior. He was loved by his church
family and will be sorely missed.
Leo was a kind person, with an easy smile and a quiet sense of
humor. He enjoyed fishing, wood working, painting and
gardening. Leo had a generous heart and a love for life. Leo never
turned down a good meal and he loved his sweet treats. He enjoyed
classic Rock and Roll and Country Music.

Cremation services by Andras Crematory and Funeral Services. A
celebration of Life Service will be held at Cornerstone United
Methodist Church on Saturday, October 29,2022 at 11:00 a.m. with a
light lunch served after. Pastors Chris LaLonde and Evelyn Bonnell
officiating.
