Paul C. Westbrook, age 100 and a life resident of Elyria, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Wesleyan Village Health Center.


Paul was born August 30, 1918, in Marietta and served in the United States Army Air Corps. during World War II.  He was a recipient of a silver star and four bronze stars for his military service served in the Pacific Theater.


He was retired from the former Pfaudler Company, Elyria, where he had been employed for forty years as a welder.  His two brothers also worked at the Pfaudler Company as welders with him.  Paul enjoyed gardening, especially raising tomatoes.  Most of all, he treasured spending time with his family.


Survivors include his son Tim (Tammy) of Elyria, grandson Charlie Robinson of Mansfield, eight great grandchildren, and his sister Gladys.


Paul was preceded in death by his wife Inez (1983), daughters Paulette Robinson and Nancy Weitzel, brothers Larry and Donald, and his sister Gwendolyn.


Interment will take place in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
