Mona Lee Buchanan (nee Thompson), age 62 and a life resident of Lorain,
passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 18,
2022 after a lingering illness.

Mona was born in Lorain September 13, 1959 to the late Lyle and Patricia
(nee Toth) Thompson.  She attended Lorain High School and was a member of
the Class of 1977.  Throughout her life, Mona was a homemaker whose devotion
was to her family.  She was a doting grandmother who lovingly watched over all
her 40 grandchildren and was active in their lives.

Survivors include her husband of 17 years Joseph A. Buchanan, her eleven
children; Mark Ward of Mansfield, Melinda Green (Roderick, deceased) of
Lorain, Matthew (Rebecca) Ward of Lorain, Michael (Veronica) Ward of Elyria,
Angelina Perez (Johnathan Donnell) of Elyria, Chad
(Melissa) Buchanan of Lorain, Scott Buchanan (Jasmine Martinez) of Lorain, Josh Buchanan of Kentucky, Ashley Buchanan of Lorain, Kelly Buchanan of Lorain, Jacob
Buchanan of Lorain, sisters Michelle Ward of Lorain and Ramona (Robert)
Smith of Lorain, brothers Mark and Mike Thompson, both of Lorain, and nieces
and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mona was preceded in death by her sons Marshall Ward (2002) and Todd Buchanan (2017),  and
her brother Timothy.

Family will receive friends 3-6 p.m., Friday at the Andras Crematory &

Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain.  Graveside service will take
place 10 a.m., Saturday at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.  Everyone please meet
at the main entrance of the cemetery at 9:45 a.m.
