Paul W. Dismuke, age 78 and a resident of Lorain, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Regency West Hospital, Middleburg Heights after a long illness.


Paul was born December 14, 1942 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late BC and Mable Dismuke.  Paul formerly resided in Cleveland before moving to Lorain several years ago.  For many years he was employed at the Elyria Foundry.  Most importantly he loved spending time with his family and he especially enjoyed dancing.  Paul served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.  He was a member of Elyria Baptist Church.


Survivors include his wife of 22 years Diane (nee Soto), his six children; Valarie Hunter, Cynthia Evans, Caurice Guillory, Harold Jennings, Paul Butler, Corey McGorit, step-daughter April Sapienza, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, his brother and sister Bill Adams and Caroline Montgomery.


In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother Roy Adams.


Family will receive friends at the Andras Crematory and Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain on Thursday from 6-8 p.m.  Military rites will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. by the Amherst Veterans Military Honor Guard.  The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Friday at Elyria Baptist Church, 276 Washington Avenue, Elyria.
