William “Bill” Thomas  Janda, Sr., 60, of Lorain passed away peacefully on Friday, April 15th, 2022 at Mercy Hospital. 


Bill was born to Frank Janda, Sr. and Margaret (Guelker) Janda on August 2nd, 1961 in Lorain, Ohio.  Bill was raised in Lorain and attended Clearview schools. He was a man of many talents.  Bill worked at Al, Lou and Jim’s and Corcino’s  while in High School.  He went on to be a truck driver at J & J Salvage, JB Woods Trucking and drove as a Teamster for Jefferson Trucking.  He also worked in the construction trade for Stapleton Construction and Lorain County Metropolitan Housing.  In his spare time he enjoyed helping others with their vehicles and home repair projects.  He was called “MacGyver” by many of his friends due to his ability to fix everything.


  Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Janda, Sr. and Margaret (Guelker) Janda and his brother, Frank Janda, Jr. He is survived by his son, William Janda, Jr. and daughter, Jamie Janda; former wife Kathleen Janda and her husband, Robert Page;  brothers Earl (MaryAnn) Janda and Steve Janda; nephew, Scott (Narissa) Janda and nieces, Stefani (Roy) Willis and Bridgette (Sanders) Sanchez.

Family and friends will be received at Andras Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway, Lorain on Saturday, April 23rd from Noon-2pm. Memorial service at 12:30pm, Deacon Lou Maldonado, Officiating.  Internment will be private.
