Anthony “Tony” Gargasz, age 70, and a resident of Lorain, Ohio, passed away on May 8, 2026, surrounded by his family. 

Tony spent his career as an engineer developing industrial software systems for Ohio’s steel industry, driven by a genuine passion for computers and electronics that never left him. He held professional Microsoft and HAM radio certifications that spoke to his commitment to technology.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Gargasz (Lepke); his children, April Gargasz and Anthony Gargasz; and his siblings, Thomas Gargasz (Cindy), Tracy Ciurleo, Cindi Swartz (Dennis), and three half-siblings, David, Joseph, and ElizabethAnn. 

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Gargasz.

Tony will be remembered for his sharp wit, his love of technology, and the warmth he brought to the people around him.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future to honor Tony’s memory. Family will be in touch with details.
