Anthony T. Zigmund, 56, of Lorain, passed away from a long-term illness on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Ohman Family Living at Briar in Middlefield. Anthony was born in Cleveland on June 5, 1967 to parents Lawrence and Dorothy (nee Opalka) Zigmund.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  His passion and career was  working as a charter Greyhound private driver.  He also was a bus driver for SBS Transit in Lorain.  He was involved in the Knights of Columbus, and an altar server at St. Mary's in Avon.  Anthony was a great home care provider, avid lover of dogs, especially his two dogs Toby and Rex who have crossed over the rainbow bridge. Country singer Patsy Cline was one of his favorite artists. Anthony loved to cook and decorate for all holidays. He was a great provider for the ones he cared and loved for.  Anthony loved all his nieces, nephews, cousins, and family members.  Anthony loved to travel on his many long trips throughout the years.

Survivors include his sisters Adele Vinci of Marietta, DeAnn Zigmund of Florida, Irene (James) Williams of Marietta, Victoria (Aaron) Fowler of Lorain, brothers; Mitchell (Liens) of Pennsylvania, Michael of Michigan, Ronald (Jo Ann) of South Carolina, Francis (Marsha) of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Agnes Zigmund, his father Lawrence Robert Zigmund, sister Theresa Ann Zigmund, and brother Christopher Robert Zigmund.

Family will receive friends at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2640 Stoney Ridge Road, Avon on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.
