Bertha J. Stump, age 88, and a resident of Oberlin/New Russia Township, peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026.

She was born to the late Ralph and Eunice Lance in Wellington, Ohio.

A woman of many passions, Bertha enjoyed puzzles, embroidery, tending to her plants, and immersing herself in nature. She had a talent for cooking and liquid embroidery, and she cherished spending time with her loved ones. Her love for music was profound, and she delighted in visiting flea markets and making plastic-canvas art.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Glen Stump; her son Glen Stump Jr.; her great-grandchild "Lil Paul"; and her siblings Gloria, Ralph Jr. and Harvey.

Bertha is survived by her children: Ralph (Barb) Stump, Brenda Hansen, Rebecca Vastag, and Teresa (Lee) Adams; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; her siblings Vernon, Raymond, Eva, and Rita; and many extended family.
