Betty J. Cyran, age 90, of Amherst, passed away during the afternoon on Monday, November 6, 2023  following a long term illness.

She will be remembered for being a loving mother, wife, and grandmother. She enjoyed holidays with her family, nature, and animals. She especially loved bird watching for her favorite "red bird" the Cardinal. She was active in her community, and will be remembered for her big heart.

She is survived by her son Larry, and by her daughters Monica McKelvey (née Cyran) and Janet L. Cyran, and sister Ernestine Fabrizio. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Ernest and Marie Pruzek (née Baylor), she is preceded in death by her husband of  59 years Emil Cyran, her daughter Cathie Ody, her sisters Dorthy Elgar and Doris Hall.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
