Our beloved Bobbi Rae Matear, 65 of Avon, tragically left us on Saturday, October 5, 2024.  She was born on November 14, 1958 in Hampton, Virginia and then moved to Avon in 1960 where she spent the rest of her childhood years.  She will be truly missed by her children, grandchildren, brothers, and sister.  Her beloved children include her son Dewann Matear and daughter Monique Barlow.  Her precious grandchildren are Makayla Matear, Montress Sharp, Jordan Matear, Daisy Sharp, Malia Matear, Alexis Matear, and Isaiha Matear.  Also surviving is her sister Ruth Root, and brothers Frank Root III and Bret Root.  She will join her grandmother Jessi Root, grandfather Frank Root Sr., and brother Harry Root in heaven.  She was a beautiful soul that devoted her life to helping the community through Alcoholic Anonymous.  She had 27 years of uninterrupted sobriety when she passed.  She was very proud of all the accomplishments of her children and loved to visit with her grandchildren.  There will be a Celebration of Life at Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.  All family and friends are welcome to attend.
