Catherine Ann Sayre, (nee Esper), 60, passed away peacefully, though unexpectedly, October 10th, 2023, leaving behind many family and friends.

Cathy was born October 5th, 1963, to Mother, Marieanne Fink (nee Szymanski) and Father, Wesley Esper In Cleveland. Cathy married Mark Sayre on April 18th, 1983, in Cleveland.

Catherine is preceded in death by her Grandmother Donna Duncan; Grandmother Lynn Florence; Grandmother Ursula Strauss; Brother Jeffrey Esper; Uncles Dale and Douglas.

Survived by her husband, Mark, and their five children, Joshua, Jessica, Colby, Michael, and Rebecca; two grandchildren, Madelynn, and Angelica; parents Marieanne and Wesley; Sister, Melissa; Brothers, Nicholas, Wesley, Jerry, Daniel, and Travis; and many nieces and nephews and other family.

As she would say, she's done her time on planet Earth. She worked hard her whole life to take care of her family and do a worthwhile job. She worked many years for BJs Wholesale Club in receiving where she and her family were very proud of her work, especially her work to have arranged a system of donations to be made to local animal rescue, Fido's Companion Rescue. This system donates damaged and unsold products that would have otherwise been discarded. Cathy loved animals, especially all her Grandkittens, and family pets which have since passed. She loved nature and could be found most days playing with plants and tending garden, likely while enjoying a glass of wine and a pipe. Her taste in music was outstanding, with a large musical index which she enjoyed loudly. She was an artist and wildly creative. She always loved the holidays and decorating and was an exceptional gift-giver.

A celebration of life will take place Tuesday, October 31st at Puskas Pavilion from 4:00-10:00 P.M. to celebrate and honor Catherine on her favorite holiday! Costumes are strongly encouraged, and tricks & treats will be provided.
