Chris Ann Brunger passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her life, her devoted husband of 39 years, Keven Brunger, along with her children and grandchildren, who were her world.
Chrissy and Keven shared a marriage rooted in loyalty, strength, and unwavering commitment. Through life’s joys and challenges, they stood side by side. Their bond was one of deep love, partnership, and dedication — a love story that spanned nearly four decades.
Chrissy was a woman of strength, honesty, and fierce love. For over a year and a half, she courageously battled Stage 4 breast cancer with resilience and determination.
She was the proud and devoted mother of five children, whom she loved wholeheartedly, and she was the foundation of her family. She is cherished by her loving husband, 5 children, 21 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her bold spirit and unwavering love.
Chrissy spoke her mind, stood firmly in her truth, and loved with her whole heart. Her strength, laughter, and legacy will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her sister Anita Resko, niece Brandi Resko, stepfather Samuel Carr, her mother Ann Carr, and her grandson Malikai Rivera.
Family will receive family and friends on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 5-9 p.m., at the Andras Crematory and Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway, Lorain, OH 44052. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Christian Heritage Assembly of God, 36465 Chester Rd., Avon, OH 44011.
The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the compassionate team at Miracle City Hospice for the love, dignity, and gentle care they provided during this time. Your kindness, patience, and support meant more to our family than words can express. Thank you for walking alongside us and helping make her final days peaceful and surrounded by comfort.
