Dale "Red" Edward Cantu Sr., 58, of Lorain passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.

He was born in the city of Lorain, where he grew up and fathered eight children.

Dale loved to spend time with his kids and his cat, Sassy. He liked watching old western series and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns. He enjoyed the quietness, but also loved turning on his radio and cranking the tunes up from time to time. We were fortunate to have his for a brother, dad and friend.

He will be deeply missed by his loving mother Audrey Witt of Amherst, daughters; Myra Asbury of Elyria, Destiny Asbury of Lorain Dezmarie Cantu, Damia Cantu of Belleville, Illinois; sons Lance Cantu, Dale Cantu Jr. of Lorain, Freeman Cantu, Drew Olsson of Belleville, Illinois, sisters; Kelly Gilliam, Kerry Butler, and Melissa (Chad) Buchanan, brother Elbert Cantu Jr., and grandchildren; Aniyah, Adrienn, Nyomie, Jazelle, Jaziyah, and Di'ore.

He was preceded in death by his father Elbert Cantu Sr.

His family will receive friends Friday, April 21, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at the Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain.
