Dana Ann Carter (nee Hobbs), age 61 and a life resident of Lorain, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025 at UH Elyria Medical Center after a long illness.

Dana was born February 9, 1964 in Amherst to John B. Hobbs Jr. and Judith A. (nee Roberts) Hobbs.  For many years Dana worked as an STNA at nursing homes in Lorain and Knox counties.  Dana loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing music, and building puzzles.  She also loved her pet cat Pickles.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Jody and Russell Binggeli of Sheffield Lake, son David Wayne Carter (Lindsay Crofts) of Northwood, six grandchildren; Russell, Jonathan, and Jolene Binggeli, Lucas Carter, and Dominic and Riley Tucker, her parents John and Judith Hobbs of Mt. Gilead, brothers John Hobbs of Lorain and Matthew (Angie) Hobbs of Florida, and sisters Mindy (Charles) Grasse of Elyria and Jodi (Corey) Sears of Fredericktown.

She was preceded in death by her grandson Ian Carter (2018).

Dana will be missed by all and had a heart of gold.

Family will receive friends Friday, May 16, 2025, from 5-8 p.m. at the Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain.  There will be a 7:30 p.m. funeral service with Rev. Mark Telepak officiating.
