Dana R. Limbach, age 72, and a lifelong resident of Lorain, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday October 16, 2025.

Dana was born October 19, 1972 in Lorain to the late Richard Norman and Veronica Ellen (nee Kohart) Limbach. He attended Lorain High School. He proudly served as Past Governor of Lorain Moose Lodge #552, where he formed many lasting friendships. Dana devoted his career to Norfolk Southern Railroad, where he worked for many years as a Car Man. He also had a lifelong passion for horse racing, enjoying over 15 years of horse ownership with Hershberger Stable.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter Julie Limbach, his brother, Richard Limbach, Jr. (Susan); and his ex-wife of 25 years, June Bannick.

He is survived by his son, Dana Limbach, Jr. of Lorain; grandchildren, Alyssa and David Mihajlovich III of Lorain; Toni Ferreira of Port Richey, FL; and his sister, Dawn Sosinski (Jack) of Charlotte, NC.

Dana will be remembered for his warm heart, sense of humor and the genuine care he showed to everyone who knew him.
