David E. Calvert, age 75 and a longtime resident of Lorain, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain.

David was born September 19, 1948 in Big Chimney Mile Fork, West Virginia. He moved to Lorain when he was 18 and was employed as an assembler on the passenger assembly line at the Lorain Assembly Plant of Ford Motor Company for 44 years.  David enjoyed gardening, and playing horseshoes and corn hole.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years Linda L. (nee Clark) Calvert,  Their three children; Kimberly Calvert, Donald, Calvert, and David (Deziree) Calvert, all of Lorain, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and his three brothers; Ed, Lynn, and Jack Calvert.

He was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow E. Calvert Sr. and Ruth N. (nee Wells) Calvert and his sister Sandra.

Family will receive friends at the Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 5-7 p.m.
