Dave Rafter, age 58 went home to the Lord on Friday, October 27, 2023 after loosing his battle with cancer.

He attended high school and studied at the Pennsylvania School of Culinary Arts.  He loved being outdoors and the adventure of traveling; exploring different states, he'd always find treasures to bring back home.  His favorite place in the whole world was Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Survivors include his mother and step-father Sharon and Joe Foote of Elyria, father and step-mother David and Leda Rafter Sr. of Grafton, and his only brother Daniel Rafter of Elyria.  Dave will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Russell and Millie Strait and paternal grandparents Thomas and Ruth Rafter.

A memorial mass will take place 11 a.m., Monday, November 6, 2023 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 708 Erie St., Grafton.  A Celebration of Dave's life will be hosted at the home of his mother and step-father who reside at 101 Apollo Drive, Elyria on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 2-6p.m.

A private burial will take place in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
