IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deborah "Debbie" Ann
Hobbs
March 8, 1952 – July 25, 2025
Deborah "Debbie" Hobbs, 73, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away early in the morning of July 25, 2025. She was a woman whose warmth, generosity, and joy touched the lives of all who knew her, as she passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.
Debbie was the youngest child, born on March 8, 1952, in Lorain, Ohio, to parents Melvina and David Frazier. She grew up alongside her older sister, Joyce Papay, and attended Admiral King High School, graduating with the Class of '70. Debbie managed a dry cleaning company for many years—a job she deeply loved. Even after retiring, her passion for working with her hands continued through hobbies like crocheting, crafting, and, most of all, spending time with her family.
Debbie was the devoted wife of George Hobbs for 48 strong and loving years, sharing a lifetime of partnership and unwavering commitment. She was a proud and loving mother to her daughter, Lori Hobbs, and her son, Joshua Hobbs. As a grandmother, she was deeply cherished by many, including Travis Hobbs and Jenna Johnson. Her family was the center of her world—she gave to them endlessly, with boundless love, gentle care, and steadfast support
A true fighter in every sense of the word, Debbie's strength was matched only by her ability to light up any room she entered. Her smile was contagious, her laughter unforgettable, and her presence a source of comfort and joy.
Debbie was known as the ultimate giver. No holiday or celebration passed without her special touch, she had a way of making every occasion feel magical. Her deep love was often expressed through the care she put into baking for others, adding warmth and sweetness to every gathering. Her generosity was legendary, not just in the gifts she gave or the events she hosted, but in the way she gave of herself so freely. She welcomed everyone with open arms and made each person welcome to her home.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and light. Debbie Hobbs will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone lucky enough to have known her. She always said "I love you, I'll see you later," which we all will remember, a life so beautifully lived and a woman so deeply loved. Our love will continue on never ending, till we meet again, Mema.
In Loving Memory of Deborah Hobbs
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend
