Donald Joseph Bisner, age 61. Former Air Force K9 Police Officer for The United States Air Force went on to be with the Lord on February 7th, 2025, in Lorain, Ohio, near his home of Vermilion, Ohio. Donald was born to Fran and Frank Bisner on August 14, 1963, in North Carolina. Donald, aka Don, was a legend who had the gift of a heart transplant in 2016 and fought long and hard to spend more time with his family and friends. Don worked many jobs where he made great friends and many others who would call him their brother. He loved fishing, hunting, free-range gun shooting, and anything that had to do with the outdoors. Don was and will always be an unforgettable man, father, brother, and devoted husband. He is survived by his wife, Dena of 41 Years, Son, James (JD), Daughter, Casey, and Three Siblings, Liz, Nancy, and Cheryl, and his five grandchildren, Sebastian, Zariyah, Joshua, Baby RJ, and Isabella. We will all remember you and continue to carry you in our hearts always.
Family will receive friends at the Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 2-4 p.m. Military rites conducted by the Amherst Veterans Military Honor Guard will take place at 3:15 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3:30 p.m., officiated by Rev. Mark Telepak.
