Donna Jo

Amherst VFW
1:30 - 3:30 pm (Eastern time)
Donna Joe Hite, 71, of North Ridgeville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2026.
Donna Hite loved many things throughout her life: Texas Roadhouse, Joyce Meyers, Betty Boop, and her faith in God. But above all else, she loved her family, and the way she loved was relentless; it was a love truly one of its kind, and anyone who received it will always be blessed to know a love like hers. Make no mistake, with her love also came her strength and her stubbornness that we all know and cherish.
Donna was survived by her two children, Danyel Hite and Danny Hite II; her Grandchildren, William "Billy" McAuliffe II and his wife Taylor McAuliffe; Nicolette "Nicky" Bailey, Corey "CoreyKins" Bailey, Danny "Danny Boy" Hite III, Olivia "Livi Jean" Hite, and Mason Hite; and her great-grandchildren, Hunter Joe McAuliffe, Beau Luke McAuliffe, and Raegan McAuliffe. Her nephew, Andrew "Andy" Fisher, and his wife, Samantha "Sam" Fisher, and her great-nephew, Elijah "Eli" Fisher. Her favorite daughter-in-law, Amber Hite. Her brother Robert "Bobby" Fisher II and his wife Deanna "Dee" Fisher, her best friend and favorite gossip partner Gloria Pasters, and her lifelong friend Linda Welch.
Donna truly was the glue in so many people’s lives, and she will be so deeply missed. We know in our hearts that she is happy to be next to some of our other loved ones in heaven. She is reunited with her husband, Danny Hite, her parents, Burl and Juanita Laxton (nee Mullins), her sister Loretta Laxton, and her favorite dog Otis Oliver.
A Celebration to honor her life will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Amherst VFW, 165 Cleveland Ave, Amherst, Ohio 44001.
"So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you."
