Enrique Otero Jr., age 68, and a lifelong resident of Lorain, passed away in his home on Sunday, November 1, 2026.

He was born on August 22, 1958. He earned his diploma from Clearview High School, where he was hired as a custodian after graduation. He obtained his boiler operator, plumbing, and electrical certifications during his employment, and he stayed with Clearview Schools until he retired; afterwards, he would volunteer at athletic events for the school.

He was Christian and made lifelong relationships during adolescence in the church. Whether you knew him as Enrique, Rico, or Henry he was everybody’s friend.

He was preceded in death by his father, Enrique Otero Sr., mother Modesta Otero, mother Carmen Sanchez, sister Rita Otero, and niece Tabitha Otero.

He is survived by brothers John (Jennifer) Otero, Noel (Linda) Otero, and Wilfredo (Tracy) Otero and sisters Elena (Louis) Acosta, Betty (Miguel) Delgado, Nancy (Trinidad) Mendiola, Lucy Bolyard, and Elizabeth Carcano. As well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

He will be cremated at Andras Funeral Home, but instead of a funeral, there will be a celebration of life, which will be announced by the family once more information is available.
