Evelyn Szklar passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Mercy New
Life Hospice in Lorain after a brief illness.

She was born March 27, 1956 in Everett, Massachusetts and had been a Lorain
resident since 1959. Evelyn attended Durling Middle School and Clearview
High School. She retired from Ford Motor Company in 2006 after 26 years of
service. Evelyn enjoyed going to garage sales, making jewelry and
crocheting quilts.

She is survived by her son Julian Velez of Lorain, grandson Zayden Velez,
brother John (Dee) Szklar of Vermilion, sisters Lorraine Wurtz of
Evansville, Indiana and Elaine D'Amore (Frank) of Elyria, and nieces and
nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents Florence (Ferrari) and Theophil
Szklar, infant sister Patricia Szklar, and her nephew Michael Housman.

At the request of the family, a private service will be handled by the
Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, Lorain.
