Francisco Ramos II, 93, of Lorain, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on, Monday, December 25, 2023 at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain.

He was born on October 22, 1930 in Camuy, Puerto Rico.  Francisco moved to Lorain in 1952 and worked at the former Fruehauf Trailer Corporation of Avon Lake for 19 years before the factory closed.

Francisco loved the Lord above all things and led many lives to Christ. He had a passion about sharing the gospel, even until his last days of life. One way that he and his wife Lydia A. "Lilly"(deceased) showed their love of Christ was through fostering over 43 children in need of loving homes. He also helped raise three special young ladies whom loved him dearly and were by his side until his passing; Elsa Aviles, Carmen Leibas and Olivia Santiago. He was also a great inventor.

He will be dearly missed by his sons:  Jaime Ramos (Gloria) of Lorain, Francisco "Frank"  Ramos of Carson City, Nevada, Felipe "Pete" Ramos (Laura) of Elyria, Adam Ramos (Angela) of Oberlin, three grandchildren; Frances Ramos, David Ramos, Andrew Ramos, seven great-grandchildren, sisters; Carmen Ramos of Camuy, Puerto Rico, Olga Ramos of Columbus, Maria Ramos of Lorain, and his brother Gilfredo Ramos of Clearwater.

His was preceded in death by his wife Lydia Ramos (Vidal) in 2012, parents Francisco and Monserrate (nee Mercado) Ramos, brothers Luis, Angel, Miguel Ramos and sister Cruz Maria Morell.

His family will receive friends Friday, December 29, 2023 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Andras Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway, Lorain. Pastor Gilbert Silva will officiate his funeral service at 1:00pm at the funeral home with burial  following at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
