Homer D. Yommer, age 65 and a resident of Elyria, passed away at his home after a sudden illness on Friday, October 17, 2025.

Homer was born April 28, 1960 in Lorain to the late Homer D. and Shirley L. (nee Handlin) Yommer.

Homer attended Admiral King High School and spent a 37 year career at Aztec Steel, Elyria, where he was employed as an order picker and a machine operator.  He enjoyed watching sports and in his younger years was an avid baseball player.  Homer liked to go fishing and camping, and during the summer attended Rock on the River in Lorain.

Survivors include his life companion Janet Weigle, his three children; Douglas and Kevin Yommer, both of Lorain, daughter & son-in-law Danielle and Edwin Castro of Lorain, three grandchildren, and his brother Donald Yommer of Lorain.

Friends will be received Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at the Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain.
