Jacqueline "Sally" Barnes ( nee Hales ), age 91, and resident of Columbia Township, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 after a short illnesss.

Sally was born  April 22, 1932 in Elyria to the late Robert and Blanche Mason (nee Daily).

She was a proud cook at the Center Ridge Nursing Home and the Lorain County Jail for the last 30 years. Sally loved her dog, Tootsie Roll, and spending her time with her family. She lived a wonderful life.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her one son, three grandsons, one granddaughter, one great-great grandaughter, five brothers, one sister, and her three son-in-laws.

She was the beloved mother of Sandra (Walter) Young of Elyria, Paula Young of Uniontown, Billie Jo Hales and Sherry Houser of Tampa, Florida, Tina Hales of Elyria, and Beverly Teter of Elyria; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and also a special family friend Toni Brown.

There will be no service at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
