James H. Greene, affectionately known as Jim, was born on October 5, 1937, in Olive Hill, Kentucky. He was a good man, known for his great sense of humor and beloved by all who knew him.

Jim was a longtime barber in Bay Village, where he cherished the relationships he built with his clients over the years. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959, fulfilling sea duty in the Atlantic and being stationed in Naples, Italy. His military service was a significant part of his life, and he carried that pride throughout his years.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Phillistine (nee Hobbs); his sons, Randy and Charles (Vicki); and his grandson, Matthew. He also leaves behind nieces, Terrisa (Jay) Rudolph, Judy (Mark) Howard, and nephew James (Teresa) Blankenship.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nora (Clay) and James H. Greene Sr., his stepfather Wiley Birchfield, his sister Annie Jane and her husband Lacy Blankenship, his brother Billy R. Green, and his nephew Billy W. Blankenship.

In honoring Jim's wishes, there will be no service.
