Janet Marie Vicens (nee Maynard), age 71, and a resident of Lorain, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Mercy Regional Medical Center.

Janet was born May 26, 1952 in Lorain to the late Henry and Norma (nee Lewis)  Maynard. She was a graduate of former Admiral King High School.

She enjoyed reading, watching television and movies, collecting jewelry and angels, singing, gardening and most importantly spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children; Angela (Spencer) Copeland of Bradenton, FL, Jason (Dawn) Vicens of Amherst, Rick Amity (Mike) Vicens of Lorain, Micki Vicens of Lorain, Austin Contreras of Lakewood, Jennifer Conley of Portsmouth, Tony Vicens of Florida; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; her siblings; Doris Landreth of Lorain, Nick Maynard of Lorain, Angie Maynard of Lorain, David Maynard of Lorain, Linda Maynard of Lorain, Keith Maynard of Lorain, Darlene Daub of Portsmouth, Deborah Penson of Portsmouth and Judy Barrett of Portsmouth, her life companion Chad Procter, and many extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Renea Conley, sons Jerry Conley and Johnny Vicens, and her brother Joe Maynard.

Family will receive friends at the Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 3 to 6:30 p.m.  There will be a short prayer service held at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. following the visitation.
