It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Janice Louise Thomas, 82, of Wellington, Ohio. She went peacefully in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 30th, 2026, with her daughter by her side and is now in the presence of her Lord. She was born in Logan, West Virginia, to Oscar Phillips and Edith (Phillips) Johnson.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Allan Thomas, and siblings Buel Phillips, Jean McCoy, and Mary Adkins, and the recent passing of her sister-in-law Marsha Phillips.

She will be greatly missed by her only daughter Tina (Tracy) Brletich, grandsons Brandon (Mareana) Brletich and Luke (Briana) Brletich, one great grandson Blake Brletich, her Brother Rev. Larry Phillips, and many nieces and nephews.

She worked as an LPN at various nursing homes. She's always been involved in her local church until her failing health prevented her from doing so. Hobbies included reading, going to garage sales, and decorating her home. She had a special place in her heart for her daughter's pups Dante & Chewie.

Our Family will take a Celebration of Life Trip in honor of her memory in 2027 to honor her wishes of no funeral services.
