Jessica Renee Steele (nee Christy), age 38 and a resident of North Ridgeville, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 at UH St. John Medical Center, Westlake after an unexpected illness.

Jessica was born December 21, 1984 in Cleveland to William L. Christy and Lisa R. (nee Fugitt) Christy.  She was a 2004 graduate of Black River High School and obtained a Bachelor of Sociology from Kent State University.  Most recently Jessica was employed at The Wesleyan Village, Elyria where she worked as an STNA.  Most important to Jessica was spending time with her children.  She also enjoyed listening to the music she liked and playing board games and cards.

Survivors include her children Emeline and Corwin Steele, her parents William and Lisa Christy, siblings; William Christy of Elyria, Luke Christy (Melinda) of Elyria, Tiffany Amill of Spencer, and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother Joey Christy (2004).

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. at Pheasant Run Hall, 200 Eastlake Dr., LaGrange.  A Pot Luck dinner will be served.
