John J. Gaal, 60, of Sheffield Lake, passed away suddenly on Monday,
September 19, 2022 at his home.

He was a graduate of Brookside High School and Lorain County Joint
Vocational School, Class of 1980. John was a member of the Carpenters Union
Local 435 and hung drywall for a living before retiring in 2021. He was
also a machinist upon graduating from LCJVS and he was first in his class.
John enjoyed hunting, helping his friends and neighbors and he especially
enjoyed music and playing his guitar.

He is survived by his three sons; John M. Gaal of Vermilion, Michael J. Gaal
(Emily) of Elyria, and Benjamin T. Gaal of Lakewood, three grandchildren,
mother Linda J. Gaal of Sheffield Lake, sisters Marianne Richardson of
Caldwell, Texas and Jennifer L. Fitzer (Carl) of Sheffield Lake, brother
James A. Gaal (Heather) of Navarre, one niece and six nephews.

John was preceded in death by his father James F. Gaal (2014).

There will be a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at the
Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain from 1:30-4
p.m. Fr. Shields of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Sheffield Lake will preside
over services at 2 p.m. A private burial for family members will take place
on Wednesday at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.1:30
