John William Joseph Williams III, 81, of Oberlin, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at UH of Elyria. Born to the late John and Margie (nee Bryant) Williams at St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain, John lived a life full of unique interests and cherished moments.

He had a passion for creating Halloween coffins, practicing martial arts, and tending to his yard. John loved spending quality time with his wife, Debra, enjoying movies and dinners together. The couple first met at Jamie's Flea Market and married a year later, embarking on a beautiful journey of love that lasted over 40 years.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Williams (nee Sager); his daughter, Sherry Williams of Oberlin; Brian (Remy) Williams of New York; and Dawn (Jason Vicens) Sager of Amherst. He also leaves behind his daughter-in-law, Wendy Williams of North Carolina; thirteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He is remembered fondly by his sister, Linda Denes; his best friend, John (Linda) Repko; and a wide circle of extended friends and family.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, John William Joseph Williams IV, and his brother, Duane Williams. By his wishes, he will be cremated with no formal showing.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring or Summer of 2025.
