Karen Sue Simmons (nee Kordeleski) of Amherst, a devoted mother, and beloved grandmother, peacefully passed away at home on December 14, 2024. Born on October 3,1948, in Lorain, Ohio, she was the daughter of Benjamin & Mary (nee Simo) Kordeleski.

Karen was known for her sense of humor and her quick wit. She enjoyed telling people her name is Karen but she is not "That kind of Karen". She made a positive impact on everyone she met with her infectious laugh and beautiful heart.  Her departure is gravely felt by her entire family and countless other who loved her.  Karen's presence will be dearly missed by all and her memory cherished.

She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, cooking, crafting, the daily Wordle, going to casinos, dancing to Bruno Mars, and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.  Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends.  She loved hosting family gatherings where everyone was welcomed, included, and thought of.

She is survived by her two daughters Melissa Verzi (Jonathan Vaughn) and Dena Endsley (David Fischer) and granddaughters Allyson & Peyton Verzi, and step granddaughter Trista Endsley. Brother Richard (Candy) Kordeleski, sister Margaret (Mike) Shaw, brother-in-law Charlie Teleha and sister-in-law Maryanne Kordeleski as well as several nieces, nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Benjamin Kordeleski and her sisters Mary Fischer and Martha Teleha and various loved ones we lost along the way.

A Celebration of Life for Karen will take place on Sunday January 5, 2025 from 2-6 at The Fraternal Order of the Eagles 1442, 1161 Milan Ave., Amherst, OH 44001. Those wishing to pay their respects and celebrate her life are welcomed.
