Kathleen Marie
Hall
Mar 18, 1956 — Oct 9, 2026
Lorain, Ohio
Kathleen Marie Hall, 70, a lifelong resident of Lorain, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family following a lengthy illness.
Born on March 18, 1956, Kathy was affectionately known to her family and friends as “Kat Woman,” a nickname that perfectly reflected her lifelong love of cats and the special place they held in her heart.
Kathy graduated from Southview High School in 1974, where she formed friendships that would last a lifetime. She spent many years working at Hill’s Department Store in Lorain and Manco Factory in Avon, Ohio.
Kathy had a spirited personality and enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life special to her. She loved the freedom of riding her motorcycle and the excitement of watching football. A devoted Cleveland Browns fan, she remained loyal to her team through every victory and every heartbreaking loss.
But nothing captured Kathy’s heart quite like her love for cats. She not only cherished her own pets but also spent countless years caring for the feral cats in her neighborhood. To Kathy, no cat was ever forgotten or unworthy of a little love, a warm meal, or a helping hand. Her compassion for these animals was a beautiful reflection of her caring heart.
Kathy lived life in her own way, finding happiness in the things she loved most. Those who knew her best will remember her independent spirit, her love for her family, and the kindness she showed to the animals who depended on her.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Gubeno; her uncle, Frank Gubeno Jr. (Eileen); her mother, Dorothy Hall; and her stepfather, Elmer J. Hall.
Kathy leaves behind her brother, Edward Hall; her sister, Cheryl Coutris (Greg); her nieces, Katlyn and Kristina; her nephews, Nicholas and Alec; and her cousins, Mary Sue Carothers (Mark, deceased), Matthew and David.
Although Kathy’s journey on earth has come to an end, the memories she leaves behind will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
May she rest peacefully, knowing that the love and kindness she shared made a difference in the lives of those around her — including the many little paws she cared for along the way.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, Lorain.
