Keith Barbee, 63, of Elyria, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 at University Hospital in Elyria, Ohio.

He was born in Elyria, Ohio November 30, 1960. He retired from United States Steel Corporation located in Lorain, Ohio. He worked as a Correctional Officer at Grafton Prison and Shiloh Industries. Keith had a bright smile, enjoyed riding his Harley and remolding homes. He was also a big NASCAR fan. He was a member of Elyria Church where he served as general repair person of the facility.

Keith is survived by his wife, Penny Barbee; and his son, Keith Patrick Barbee of Houston, Texas; his bonus children, Jessica Johnson and Bruce Johnson; grandchildren Aubree, Addisyn, Kayden and Bruce; mother, Christine Barbee; and siblings, Kim (Dwight) Brown, Victor (Kim) Barbee, Mary (Michael) Roundtree, and Marcus Harris. He had several nieces and nephews that he cherished.

He was preceded in death by his father, James C. Barbee; brothers, James C. Barbee Jr., and Todd Barbee.

Friends will be received Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at Elyria Church, 276 Washington Avenue, Elyria, Ohio with Pastor Josh Hargis officiating.
