Kurt Allen Meade, age 65, of Lorain passed away on May 23, 2024, following a brief illness.

He was born in Lorain on June 29, 1958, and had lived in the Lorain area for most of his life. Kurt mainly worked in the roofing field and owned his own business, Kurt's Roofing Company.  He enjoyed fishing and camping for most of his life.  He especially loved Lake Erie and growing up near this beautiful body of water.

Survivors include his son James (Jennifer) Gladding, grandchildren Emily Kildow, Exzavior Gladding, Jacob Gladding, and Jamie Gladding, brother Kenneth Meade of Milan, sister Carol Maddox of Huron, and many special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stumber Meade, mother Gloria (Heinzerling/Meade) Hall, stepfather Arnold Hall, sisters Linda Meade-Mortimer and Martha Mays, brothers, John and Jeffrey Meade.

A Private Celebration of Life will be held in the near future.
