Larry C. Easterday, age 81 and a lifelong resident of Elyria, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, June 23, 2023.

Larry was born in Wellington on October 7, 1941 to the late Charles and Mildred (nee Lamkofsky) Easterday. Throughout his life Larry was by trade a floor covering specialist who started his career at the age of 15. He retired when he was 70 years old. Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and old cars. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports. Besides spoiling his daughter, whom he loved dearly, he was proud of his son and grandson for following in his footsteps in the floor covering industry.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Barbara A. (nee Rourke) Easterday, son Mark (Sue) Easterday, daughter Dana (Dave) Valatka, grandchildren; Brandon (Samantha) Easterday, Kyleigh Valatka, Nathyn Valatka, Morgan Easterday, Lacey and RJ, and great grandchildren Carter and Kylynn Easterday.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother Gary Easterday.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Indian Hollow Reservation Shelter #1 on Parson Rd., Grafton from 1 p.m. until dark.
