Luis "Junior" Mercado Jr., age 70 and a resident of Lorain, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 after a battle with health complications.

Junior was born in Bronx, NY on December 30, 1953 to Luis and Emma Mercado (nee Alvarez). He grew up in the Bronx and Boston, MA until he moved to Ohio where he settled in Lorain. Luis worked at St. Joseph's Hospital until he retired.

He enjoyed music, watching professional wrestling and most importantly spending time with family and friends.

Junior is preceded in death by his father Luis Mercado Sr.

He is survived by his son Luis " Junito" Mercado, his mother Emma Mercado, his siblings Marjorie Cintron, Antonio Mercado and Evelyn Colon, and extended family and friends.

Family will receive friends Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Ave., Lorain from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at which, Funeral Service will take place.

Luis will be missed and his memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
