Marla Yommer-Ahmad, age 63 and a longtime resident of Lorain, passed away
Saturday, October 8, 2022 at MetroHealth, Cleveland with her loving son by
her side. She was born March 6, 1959 and was a graduate of Lorain High
School. All through her life, Marla was known to be a kind and loving
mother to her son and his friends, and her friends looked to her for her
caring advice and help. She generously served others. Formerly, Marla was
employed in the housekeeping department of Lorain Community Hospital.

Survivors include her son Rahman Ahmad of Lorain, former husband Fowad Ahmad
of Lorain, her brothers Donald Yommer and Homer Yommer Jr., both of Lorain,
and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Homer Yommer Sr. and Shirley (nee
Handlin) Yommer, and her sister Sara Thomas.

Family will receive friends on Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the
Andras Crematory and Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Following
visitation there will be a graveside service at Ridge Hill Memorial Park,
Amherst Township.
