Matthew Eric Miller (48), gained his wings August 8 with his best friend Ben Moore by his side.  He was the husband of Brandy Miller (Slater).  They shared 18 years together (13 years of them happily married).

Born in Lorain OH, he was the son of Franklin Miller and Nellie Miller (nee Och).  He was raised in Sullivan Ohio and attended Black River High School. He was skilled in all facets of construction which he used for his business Tri-Mill Home Improvements.

Matt was very active in Black River Local School District.  He was honored and thoroughly enjoyed coaching baseball and Black River Youth Football as well as participating in all field days and activities with the kids and families.  Matt was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.  He loved vehicle restoration as well as all activities that included his children. Matt was always the host with the most.  He loved gathering friends and family for parties at their home.  He will always be remembered for how he could light up any room.  His laugh was quite infectious, and he made everyone feel special. No one was a stranger to Matt.  He will always be remembered for his love of Christmas.

He is survived by his wife Brandy and children Nolan (24), Brodan (22) and Waylan (11).  Also survived are his brother Michael Miller (Melissa Wood), sister Michelle Kuntz (Michael Kuntz), nephews Daniel McDonald (Danielle), Dakota Kuntz (Jordan Sims), Derrick Kuntz (Lei Maultsby), Devon Kuntz (Kaitlyn Clifford) and Dylan Kuntz (Kayla Hendershot), Kaitlyn Sanderson (Aaron), Sebastian Miller, as well as many great nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents Franklin and Nellie Miller.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the family's home on Friday August 11. His ashes will remain with the family. Don't take for granted one second with your loved ones.
