Nereida Soto, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 75. She was born on April 10, 1949, to the late Bernardo Ramos and the late Genoveva Maldonado in Utuado, Puerto Rico.

Nereida married Edwin Soto in 1971, and together they raised five children: Myrta Soto, Edwin M Soto (married to Tammy), Sonia Santiago (Abner), Cristina Krasienko (married to Scott), and Elizabeth Osorio (married to Abi-Manuel). She is also survived by 17 beloved grandchildren and five great grandchildren with one on the way.

Nereida attended high school in Utuado, Puerto Rico, where she cultivated a love for learning and creativity. She had a passion for crafts and sewing, using her skills to create beautiful pieces that brought joy to those around her.

Throughout her life, Nereida was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Nereida Soto's passing was due to natural causes. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be cherished by her family and friends forever.

Family will receive friends at the Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 309 W 7th St, Lorain, with burial following Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
