Nicholas "Nicky" Salva, age 71 and a resident of Elyria, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 after a lengthy illness.

Nicky was born January 22, 1953 in Youngstown to the late Mike and Sylvia (nee Tsaknis) Salva.  He was a 1971 graduate of Southview High School, Lorain.  Nicky was employed at United States Steel, Lorain retiring after 44 years of employment.  He loved playing the lottery, enjoyed crossword puzzles, trips to casino's and was an avid boxing fan, owning a collection of Ring Magazines, a boxing publication.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years Wanda K. (nee Young) Salva, daughter Aimee Salva of Florida, son Nicholas Salva of Lorain, step-son James Mitchell of Lorain, step-daughter Lisa Mitchell of Lorain, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren four brothers; Hector (Ailadi) of Puerto Rico, Michael (Patty) of New Philadelphia, Johnny (Robin) of Elyria, & David Salva of Lorain, two sisters Irenee Salva of Amherst and Kelly (Dominic) DiLuciano of Sheffield Village, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mike and Sylvia Salva, sister-in-law Vickie DeWitt, and his in-laws James Young and Florence Oswalt.

Family will receive friends at the Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain on Friday from 2-5 p.m.
