Obituary

Oscar Rios Roman, age 62, and a resident of Lorain, entered into enternal rest unexpectedly on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at home.

He was born on March 17, 1963 in Lorain to the late Braulio Rios-Feliciano and Victoria Rios-Arce. Oscar grow up on the E. 33rd Street of Lorain with his seven siblings, four sisters and three brothers.

He attended Lorain City Schools including Admiral King High School. Shortly after leaving to help his dad with work assisting him as a mainenance worker for Metropolitan Housing. Afterwards gaining employment at several businesses including McArthur & Son's Heating & Air, Jaworski Aluminum, installing windows and assisting in the warehouse of many businesses performing multiple tasks like roofing, painting, electricial and plumbing. He was an excellent cabinet maker, a finish carpenter, and he excelled in building decks and fences. Anything with a rough measurement and drawing, Oscar could build it! He always completed all of his projects and work to the best of his ability from start to finish always being rewarded knowing he got to do what he loved most by helping others. He even at one time operated a store with pool tables in Lorain; if you thought you could beat him at a game of pool.... you had better think twice!

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Reina Arce (2024).

Survivors include his children Eric, Ruben Carlos, Justin, Joshua and Corrina Rios Roman; his beloved siblings Maria Arce Fusselman of Avon Lake, Rose Arce Gonzalez of Lorain, Ana Arce of Florida, Braulio Rios Roman Jr., of Florida, and Reynold Rios Roman of Ashland, many nieces and nephews, and those holding a special place in his heart; his niece, DaTonya Gatlin, his childhood friend Joey from Elyria Ave. Neighborhood and Veronica Humphrey, his companion. To his small circle of friends nicknaming him as "Veinte Pesos".

Oscar would inspire and ask that you make a contribution to his favorite charity, Autism Speaks, in the name of your loved ones with Autism.

Oscar will be laid to rest next to his beloved mother, Victoria Rios Arce Roman at Ridgehill Memorial Park.
