Patrick D. "Papa Danny" Smith, a lifelong resident of Lorain, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, following a prolonged illness.

Born on August 11, 1958, to the late John Humel and Darlene Priest (née Smith), Papa Danny had a passion for riding his Harley, attending Rockin' on the River, and working on cars and ATVs, always eager to tinker and fix anything he could. He loved singing karaoke and was a die hard fan of the Cleveland Browns but most importantly he loved being with his family.

He worked as a window cleaner for H&B and continued his craft after retirement, providing window cleaning services for small businesses in his community.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 36 years, Darlene Smith (2017), and his daughter, Lisa Carrol.

He is survived by his sons, Jason (Cindy) Kilkenny, Joseph Smith, Christopher Smith, and step-daughter, Amanda Brown. He leaves behind a large family of grandchildren, including Jason Kilkenny Jr., Samantha Price, Sierra Kilkenny, Christina Epling, Miranda Ratcliff, Ashley Perez-Carlson, Matthew Perez, Alyssa Smith, Autumn Smith, Malachi Smith, A-Kaiden Smith, E-Sid Aponte-Alicea, Cazenova Alicea, Nena Torres, Ace Smith, Tirell Brown, Elizabeth McMichael, Dezarea McMichael, Destiny McMichael, and Devon Brown, along with 13 great-grandchildren. Cherished by his brothers, Brian Huskey, Howard Huskey, and Robert Priest, as well as his sisters, Gerina Daniels, Jeanine Roger-Herning, and Debbie Mason.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Moose Lodge, at 3 PM on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
