Pedro Marrero, age 84 and a longtime Lorain resident, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at University Hospitals, Cleveland.

Pedro was born May 5, 1941 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico to the late Jose Marrero and Adela Davila.  Pedro was the owner of Good Neighbor Thrift Store on Pearl Avenue, Lorain until retiring in 2015.  He was very involved with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Lorain where, in the past he was a church elder.

Survivors include his five children; Wanda Caribe, Pedro Luis Marrero, Marilyn Marrero, all of Lorain, Raphael Colon of Missouri, and Yvette (Marvin) Walters of Elyria, eleven grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and his brother and sister Alejo and Delia of Puerto Rico.

In addition to his parents, Pedro was preceded in death by the love of his life, his beloved wife of 54 years Margarita Marrero (2013), and siblings in Puerto Rico.

Family will receive friends at the Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 4-6 p.m.  There will be a funeral service at 5:30 p.m.
