Phillistine Greene "Phillis", 84, of Lorain, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 17th, 2025. She was born in Millard, Kentucky February 5th, 1941 to Tommy and Ola Hobbs.

Phillis was kind, caring, and beloved by all who knew her. She was a wonderful mother, wife, friend, and role model.

She was a highly respected LPN for over 25 years working at St Joseph's Hospital, Oak Hills Nursing Home and for many years at Allen Hospital.

A faithful member of College Heights Baptist Church in Elyria, and formerly of Calvary Baptist Church in Lorain. At Calvary, she taught children's church using flannelgraphs and other imagery, leaving a lasting positive impression on many young lives.

Phillis is survived by her sons Randy Greene and Charles Greene (Vicki); grandson Matthew; sisters Norma, Rosemary, Diane and Linda; brother's Phillip and Tommy; Nieces Judy Howard (Mark) and Terri Rudolph (Jay); Nephew Jim Blankenship (Teresa); plus many other cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Greene, who passed on December 2nd; her brothers Tom, Billy, Doug, Roy; and her sister, Jean.

There will not be a traditional funeral service. A memorial service will be announced at a future date.
